Position: Nonpublic ESL Teacher
Hours: 14 or fewer hours per week
Dates: 2026-2027 School Year
Location: Community of Saints - Non Public
Salary: 30.00/hr
Qualifications:
-
Valid Minnesota ESL teaching license
-
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, administration and the general public;
-
Knowledgeable regarding relevant learning technology and proficient in its use;
-
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
-
Skilled in collaborating with classroom teachers and administration;
-
Organized - documentation, paperwork, compliance activities;
-
Experience and proficiency in the implementation of current best practices in instruction and learning for multilingual learners;

Ability to use the Resource Model and small group support as needed;
-
Experience with ESL evaluations preferred;
-
Intercultural competence, including the ability to effectively teach students from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds;

Ability to travel to a non-public school (or schools) within the ISD 197 boundary
Desired Qualifications:
-
Experience tutoring students in a non-public elementary school setting
Responsibilities:
-
Provide in-person ESL instruction to individuals or small groups on student contact days at non-public elementary schools.

Progress monitoring to guide instruction

Documentation for Title I compliance
-
Support Community of Saints School

Communicate with District 197 staff and non-public staff (principal, teachers) about student progress.
