Lead Preschool Teacher Job Summary
Little Lights Learning Center is seeking an energetic, passionate, and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate will bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young children.
As the Lead Teacher, you will play an important role in creating a safe, engaging, and faith-based learning environment where preschool children can learn, grow, and thrive. You will lead daily classroom activities, support children's social-emotional and academic development, partner with families, and help create a positive classroom community.

Responsibilities
- ✦ Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for preschool children.
- ✦ Create a welcoming, safe, and positive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- ✦ Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development.
- ✦ Incorporate play-based learning, hands-on experiences, creativity, and exploration into the classroom.
- ✦ Help develop and implement curriculum aligned with early childhood development and educational best practices.
- ✦ Establish consistent classroom routines and maintain a positive learning environment.
- ✦ Provide guidance and positive behavior support using developmentally appropriate strategies.
- ✦ Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- ✦ Communicate regularly with families about children's development, classroom experiences, and needs.
- ✦ Work collaboratively with the Assistant Teacher and Director to ensure a high-quality classroom experience.
- ✦ Maintain accurate attendance, classroom, and child-related documentation.
- ✦ Follow all applicable Kentucky child care licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.
- ✦ Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing program improvement.
- ✦ Serve as a positive role model for children and staff while supporting the mission and faith-based principles of Little Lights Learning Center.
Qualifications
- ✦ Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom, child care, or early childhood setting.
- ✦ Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- ✦ Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- ✦ A warm, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic personality.
- ✦ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- ✦ Ability to create engaging learning experiences that encourage children's curiosity and development.
- ✦ Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- ✦ Ability to meet applicable Kentucky child care licensing requirements.
- ✦ CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain required certifications.
- ✦ Previous lead teaching experience is preferred.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
