Now Hiring: Lead Teachers – Early Childhood 2's and 3's
Schedule: Monday to Friday, hours dependent upon age of class. Additional hours available if interested

We’re seeking a nurturing, patient, and passionate educator to lead our young 2’s class. This role offers the chance to foster social-emotional growth and cognitive learning through relationship-based play and discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to young two-year-olds
- Provide consistent, warm supervision, maintaining a calm and engaging classroom environment
- Lead assistant teachers and collaborate with staff for smooth-day transitions
- Maintain professional communication with families — daily updates, anecdotal notes, and positive parent engagement
- Keep accurate documentation: attendance, incident logs, developmental portfolios
- Uphold early childhood best practices in classroom setup, behavior guidance, and hygiene routines
- Required Qualifications:
- OCFS-compliant credentials: At least an Associate’s in Early Childhood or 9 college credits with a plan for Infant/Toddler Credential, plus 2 years of relevant experience. Hold or be able to obtain 30 hours of OCFS-approved training every 2 years, including topics like child development, safety, regulations, child abuse prevention, and shaken baby syndrome
- Current CPR/First-Aid certification
- Thorough understanding of NYS OCFS regulations, including ratios (1:5 for toddlers) and mandated reporter obligations
- Experience with background checks, SCR/FBI fingerprinting, and compliance measures
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with Jewish holidays and ability to integrate them sensitively into the classroom curriculum
- Experience in toddler group dynamics & social-emotional support
- Strong skills in team leadership, classroom organization, and engaging communication
