Are you a mechanical engineer who enjoys analytical work but is interested in moving beyond traditional engineering?
evcValuation LLC is seeking an early-career engineer interested in building a career that combines engineering, finance, economics, consulting, and client interaction.
This is not a traditional engineering design position. Instead, you will use your engineering background to analyze and value complex industrial assets, including power plants, renewable energy facilities, manufacturing plants, industrial processing facilities, pipelines, and infrastructure.
We are looking for someone with approximately 2–5 years of professional experience who is technically strong, curious about the business and financial side of industry, and comfortable communicating with people. Prior valuation or appraisal experience is not required. We will train the right person.
What You’ll Do
- Perform engineering and financial analyses of complex industrial facilities
- Build, analyze, and review Excel-based valuation and financial models
- Research equipment, construction costs, industrial markets, facility operations, and economic trends
- Analyze financial statements, operating information, and facility data
- Assist in valuing power generation, renewable energy, manufacturing, and other industrial facilities
- Prepare professional appraisal, valuation, and consulting reports
- Conduct site inspections throughout North America
- Meet with plant management, clients, attorneys, and other industry professionals
- Support litigation and consulting engagements
- Participate in industry conferences and business-development activities
- Take on increasing project and client responsibility as your experience grows
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Approximately 2–5 years of professional experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel skills and an interest in financial analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and desire to interact professionally with clients and industry professionals
- Interest in finance, economics, valuation, energy, industrial facilities, or consulting
- Willingness to travel periodically throughout North America
- Desire to develop professionally beyond a traditional engineering career path
Experience in power generation, energy, manufacturing, industrial facilities, engineering consulting, finance, accounting, or valuation is helpful but not required.

Travel
Periodic travel throughout North America is required for facility inspections, client meetings, conferences, and other professional activities.
