Position Overview
Westlawn School is seeking a collaborative, energetic educator to join our faculty as a Faculty Support & Studio Lead.
This position plays an active instructional role throughout the school day by supporting classroom learning, working with individual students and small groups, collaborating with Learning Guides, and leading one weekly student studio based on the successful candidate's interests and expertise.
This position is ideal for educators seeking a meaningful part-time role, graduate students, retired teachers, career changers, or individuals considering a future in education.
Primary ResponsibilitiesClassroom & Student Support
- Support Lower School Learning Guide during daily classroom instruction.
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organization, and instructional materials.
- Support project-based, experiential, and outdoor learning activities.
- Reinforce classroom routines, expectations, and positive behavior supports.
- Assist with transitions, lunch, recess, arrival, and dismissal.
- Help create organized, engaging, and welcoming learning environments.
- Build positive relationships with students while supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Studio Leadership
Lead one weekly student studio centered around your interests, talents, or expertise.

Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing one) in Education, Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, Counseling, Recreation, or a related field.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in educational, recreational, therapeutic, or community settings.
Experience working with neurodivergent or twice-exceptional learners is preferred but not required.

Compensation
$20–$24 per hour, based on experience.
