Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experiences and increase sales.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols, proper food handling, and serving practices.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving concerns professionally, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support beverage service with knowledge of spirits, wine pairings, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during busy hours in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality settings is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills.
- Experience with food safety regulations and sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and strong guest relations abilities.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and processing sales efficiently.
- Knowledge of open table reservation systems like OpenTable is beneficial but not required.
