Job Description – Full Time & Part Time Opportunities
At JRI’s Kansas Wesleyan University operations, we’ve created a great place to eat and to work. You’ll be part of a team delivering freshly prepared, made-to-order menu items for our guests coupled with a unique mix of fun, great food, and exceptional hospitality.
As a Cook at The Den Café in the Student Activity Center, you will be responsible for preparing and executing a variety of à la carte items for purchase by students, faculty, and guests under the direction of the Chef or other supervisors. This includes not only food items but also preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, and other beverages. Additionally, you will play a vital role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of The Den Kitchen and surrounding areas as needed, ensuring a hygienic and efficient workspace. Your responsibilities will also involve participating in the removal of waste products from the Kitchen Area to uphold sanitation standards. At times, you may also be asked to work in other food service areas on campus as required. If you have a passion for culinary arts, attention to detail, and a willingness to contribute to a dynamic team environment, we encourage you to apply for the Cook position at The Den and be part of providing exceptional dining experiences for our campus community.
As a food-focused people-first company, our talented Team Members are developed in an environment to prosper and grow. We’re proud to celebrate diversity and inclusion and are committed to being a place where people want to work. We want our friends and neighbors to enjoy our food and to consider being part of our team. Whether you grow your career, chase your passion, or just pick up a few skills along the way, we want to be part of your development and journey.
