Responsibilities
- Engage seniors in genuine conversation, recreational activities, and social outings to promote connection and mental stimulation
- Accompany clients to dinners, cultural events, and community outings
- Provide warm, attentive companionship during scheduled engagements
- Communicate professionally with clients and the After Eight Social team
- Maintain a polished, reliable presence for every engagement
Requirements
- Excellent conversational and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Comfortable in social and community settings
- Own transportation
- Available evenings/weekends (flexible scheduling)
- 18+
- Prior experience in hospitality, events, or community engagement is a plus (not required)
This is an independent contractor position focused entirely on companionship, with no personal care, medical tasks, or caregiving duties required or expected. Join us in creating warm, meaningful social connection for the seniors we serve.
Engagements are typically 2 hour bookings, scheduled as they come in, a flexible fit for someone looking to build steady, ongoing work without a fixed weekly commitment.
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
