JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist will be a critical part of our HR team, handling day-to-day human resource functions and providing comprehensive support to employees and managers. The role involves employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations, all while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted resource for employees by addressing concerns, managing conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and extending job offers. Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires to ensure a smooth integration into the company.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including sick leave and other employment programs.
- Compliance: Ensure that Youth On The Move Inc. complies with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Regularly review and update the employee handbook and policies to reflect current regulations.
- Performance Management: Assist managers with employee performance reviews, assist management in the development of improvement plans, and facilitate training sessions to help employees grow and succeed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
SKILLS
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
