Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Deli Associate, where you'll be the friendly face that enhances our customers' shopping experience! Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their food orders and retail purchases
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Prepare simple food items, manage food handling, and operate kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food prep areas and the cash register station
- Manage cash register operations, process cash transactions, and handle cash handling duties responsibly
- Ensure proper food safety management practices are followed at all times during food service and handling
Requirements
- Previous experience in quick service, fast food restaurant, or retail sales environments preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong skills in food preparation, food handling, and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Experience operating kitchen equipment and managing food safety standards is a plus
- Food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
