Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Houseman to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest areas, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities. Your energetic approach will ensure a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike, supporting the overall guest experience through exceptional custodial and housekeeping support. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Care for floors by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to maintain a polished appearance
- Assist with furniture arrangement, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all spaces are tidy and inviting
- Support housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks when necessary to uphold high standards of cleanliness in all areas
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, storage closets, and janitorial supplies inventory
- Follow safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment handling at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality environments—hotel experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service principles
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely
- Previous custodial or industrial cleaning experience is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
- Experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is beneficial but not required
