Overview As a level I Glass Fabricator, you will assist in preparation of materials, equipment, and tools needed in the custom fabrication of various heavy duty glass material. This type of custom manufacturing will require basic technical skills, good problem solving, great attention to detail and a strong ability to follow directions. All work will be done ensuring that employee safety is the top priority followed by product quality. Ideal fabricators are physically able workers who have good dexterity and stamina.
Responsibilities
× Assist in the preparation of glass fabrication
× Comprehend fabrication packets to prepare materials
× Inspect material before and after fabrication to ensure they meet quality standards
× Identify and report any defects or issues
× Assist with transporting completed material to the next process stage
× Handle and move materials safely and efficiently within the fabrication workshop or production floor
× Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment
× Meticulously inspect work environment for potential hazards & ensure that safety measures are in place
× Ensure workplace safety-staying abreast on internal health and safety protocols
× Wear proper protective equipment during course of duty and within the warehouse
× Utilize various tools and machinery such as saws, drills, & grinders to cut, prep and assemble materials
× Operate company delivery vehicle to ensure finished products arrive to customers as needed
× Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations
Qualifications
× High school diploma or equivalent qualification
× Valid driver’s license
× Previous experience in a fabrication environment is preferred but not required
× Ability to read work tickets and hardware templates
× Ability to use hand tools and operate machinery safely and efficiently
× Ability to read a tape measure
× Experience with tablet devices
× Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
× Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

× Strong ability to learn and be led by team members
× Ability to read and interpret detailed work tickets and hardware templates
× Great problem‐solving skills
× Physical stamina and dexterity to handle materials and perform repetitive tasks

× Must be legally eligible for employment in the U.S.
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
