JAG Healthcare Salem is currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), and help residents maximize their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities
(include but are not limited to):
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Perform screenings, evaluations, re-evaluations, discharge planning, and revisions to established plans of care
- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve residents’ functional independence and quality of life
- Supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy team members, families, and other disciplines to coordinate resident care
- Accurately document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies
- Maintain compliance with all CMS, state, federal, and facility regulations
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program required
- Current Ohio Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in good standing
- NBCOT certification required, if applicable
- Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to supervise COTAs and provide clinical guidance
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
