Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance / Janitor to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of our Pickleball club for weekends and evenings. This role is vital in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and custodial work, with a focus on industrial and commercial cleaning tasks. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of a professional club while developing skills in facilities maintenance and floor care.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas of the facility
- Conduct detailed cleaning of restrooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Maintain floors through floor care procedures
- Handle custodial tasks such as window washing, countertops and furniture cleaning
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed to support facility operations
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, including commercial or industrial cleaning
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and waxing
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies used in facilities maintenance
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines
- Prior experience with commercial facilities maintenance is a plus but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
