Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during a critical stage of their childhood development. In this role, you will create a warm, engaging, and safe classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention, meaningful learning experiences, and support in their early educational journey. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori principles to support holistic toddler development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction among children.
- Manage daily classroom routines including circle time, play activities, rest periods, and meal supervision to ensure safety and engagement.
- Use effective behavior management strategies to promote positive social behaviors and address challenges with patience and consistency.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any behavioral or learning concerns through regular updates and conferences.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies for children who may need additional support in areas such as special education or developmental delays.
- Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards and school policies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience in curriculum development tailored for two-year-olds with emphasis on literacy education, math readiness, and physical activity.
- Proven classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible learning environment.
- Ability to work effectively with children from diverse backgrounds while fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners about child welfare and progress.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools.
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies specific to toddlers.
- Experience with daycare or preschool settings; Montessori or other specialized early childhood certifications are a plus.
