Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store merchandise to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring proper signage is in place
- Conduct basic retail math for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts as needed
- Follow safety procedures and store policies to ensure a secure shopping environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising techniques
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or online
- Demonstrated skills in upselling, customer service, and product demonstrations
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required
