Remote Collaborative Psychiatrist & Medical Director
Reign-Bow Brain Treatment Center
Lombard, Illinois
Part-time | Independent Contractor | Primarily Remote
Compensation: 900.00 monthly Medical Director stipend plus separate compensation per patient when necessary
Position Overview
Reign-Bow Brain Treatment Center is seeking an Illinois-licensed psychiatrist to serve as our Remote Collaborative Medical Director.
This position is ideal for an experienced psychiatrist who prefers to provide high-level clinical oversight from a distance while remaining available to offer guidance, review complex cases and provide insight as needed.
The Medical Director will not be responsible for managing the clinic’s daily administrative operations, supervising employee attendance or remaining physically present at the clinic throughout treatment hours. Reign-Bow’s internal leadership team will continue to manage scheduling, staffing, patient coordination and routine operations.
The psychiatrist will provide meaningful clinical leadership, conduct required patient services, oversee the medical aspects of the clinic’s behavioral-health and TMS programs and remain reasonably available when the clinical team needs physician input.
Collaborative Medical-Director Role
The psychiatrist will:
- Meet remotely with the founder and clinical team via email.
- Provide professional insight regarding clinical programs and complex patient situations.
- Review clinical outcomes, documentation quality and selected cases.
- Advise the clinic when a proposed service or treatment pathway requires additional safeguards.
- Maintain independent medical judgment and final authority over decisions made within the psychiatrist’s scope of responsibility.
Routine TMS sessions will be performed at the Lombard clinic by appropriately trained personnel under the supervision structure permitted by applicable law, professional standards and each payer’s requirements.
Billing and Credentialing Requirement
The selected psychiatrist must be willing to become properly affiliated with Reign-Bow Brain Treatment Center for credentialing and medical billing purposes.
This includes:
- Completing credentialing and enrollment with applicable commercial insurance plans.
- Adding Reign-Bow’s Lombard location as an approved practice location when required.
- Completing appropriate group-affiliation and reassignment-of-benefits documentation.
- Authorizing Reign-Bow to submit claims for eligible services the psychiatrist personally performs, orders or supervises when permitted by the applicable payer.
- Being accurately identified as the rendering, ordering or supervising provider.
- Maintaining accurate CAQH information, Illinois licensure and malpractice coverage.
- Cooperating with authorizations, audits, medical-record requests and appeals.
- Assuming genuine clinical responsibility for services submitted under the psychiatrist’s NPI.
Reign-Bow will not submit services under the physician’s NPI merely because the physician holds the title of Medical Director. Every claim must accurately reflect the psychiatrist’s documented involvement and applicable payer requirements.
