Job Overview:
We are currently looking for a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health needs. As a Mental Health Technician, you will work closely with consumers to ensure their well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing care and support to individuals with mental health conditions.
- Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors.
- Assist with meal preparation and light cleaning as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed and adhere to medication administration protocols.
- Handle crisis situations effectively and follow established crisis management procedures.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to create a supportive environment for patients.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Must-Have Skills and Credentials:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience in or willing to train in medication administration.
- Must be able to read medication bottles and understand basic instructions.
- Ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
- Comfort working with individuals with mental illness.
Current Shifts Available:
- Monday-Friday 4pm-12am
- Saturday/Sunday 8am-8pm
- Saturday/Sunday 8pm-8am
