Gem State Staffing in Pocatello is hiring Fire Season Crew Members for a fast-paced industrial operation supporting the production, handling, and shipping of fire-retardant materials in the Blackfoot area.
This is a physically demanding, high-output role critical to supporting wildfire response efforts during peak fire season.
Job Overview
Crew members will work in a production and warehouse-style environment focused on producing, stacking, sorting, and shipping fire retardant products. This role requires consistency, physical strength, and the ability to work long shifts in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in the production of fire-retardant materials used for wildfire suppression
· Stack, sort, and organize finished product for shipment and storage
· Load and unload materials manually and/or with equipment as needed
· Prepare pallets and shipments for outgoing transport
· Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
· Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times
· Support general warehouse and production line operations
· Assist with material handling and inventory movement throughout the facility
· Work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Requirements
· Ability to work 10–12 hour shifts, 5–6 days per week
· Must be comfortable with heavy lifting (50+ lbs regularly)
· Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for long periods
· Strong attention to safety and teamwork
· Reliable attendance during peak production season
· Ability to follow instructions in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Experience
· Warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience
· Fire season, agricultural, or seasonal labor experience
· Forklift or equipment operation experience (not required but a plus)
· Prior heavy labor or industrial work background
