American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and a valid SC or compact RN license.

Work in the Emergency Department of a 119-bed acute care hospital
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Patient ratios determined by acuity

Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
-
Charting performed in Epic
-
Free parking available on-site

Active SC or Compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of emergency department RN experience required

Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
-
Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
-
Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for standard travel pay rate; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis

Two professional references required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have prior emergency room experience

Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval upon request

All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility needs

Royal blue scrubs required

During hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
