We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Mitigation Technician to join our dynamic restoration team. Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess damage situations involving water intrusion, fire, mold, or storm damage.
- Perform cleaning, debris removal, and initial mitigation procedures using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and company vehicles safely and efficiently during restoration projects.
- Conduct flood and water damage restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, and moisture mapping using specialized equipment like Xactimate for documentation.
- Implement mold remediation and asbestos abatement procedures following strict safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with construction-related tasks such as minor repairs or demolition to prepare properties for restoration work.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, safety compliance, and client interactions while adhering to all safety protocols including respiratory protection and PPE use.
- Support ongoing training in emergency response readiness, safety procedures, and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Skills
- Strong understanding of restoration industry standards with experience in fire, flood, mold, and storm damage mitigation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and Xactimate for estimating damages.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including respiratory protection and proper PPE usage during hazardous work.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients during stressful situations.
- Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while following all safety regulations.
- Construction experience is a plus for performing minor repairs or demolition tasks efficiently.
- On-call availability for emergency response coverage outside regular working hours to support urgent mitigation needs.
