Prep Cook & Dishwasher (Mid-Shift) – Part-Time
Marino's MOB Burgers & Ice Cream is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Prep Cook & Dishwasher to join our kitchen team.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and understands that a successful kitchen depends on preparation and teamwork. Your work behind the scenes helps our cooks serve great food quickly and consistently.
Position Overview
As our Prep Cook & Dishwasher, you'll play an important role in supporting the kitchen during our busiest hours. You'll prepare ingredients, wash dishes, restock supplies, assist the cooks, and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen. This is a fast-paced position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, portioning, and labeling food items.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines for food preparation.
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout the shift.
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and running efficiently.
- Restock food, supplies, and paper products as needed.
- Assist cooks with food preparation and other kitchen tasks.
- Receive and properly store deliveries.
- Rotate inventory using FIFO methods and properly label and date products.
- Maintain clean and sanitized workstations at all times.
- Empty trash and recycling and keep floors clean and safe.
- Complete assigned cleaning duties throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Jump in wherever needed to help the kitchen operate efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, prep cook, or dishwasher experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Able to multitask and stay organized during busy periods.
- Team player who enjoys helping others succeed.
- Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.

Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Part-Time Mid-Shift (Approximately 15–25 hours per week). Availability during lunch and early evening hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.
