We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Fleet/Warehouse Manager to lead our logistics operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management of our transportation fleet and warehouse facilities, ensuring seamless coordination of the vehicle fleet, vehicle maintenance and reporting, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage fleet operations including maintenance scheduling, driver supervision, and fleet management systems to maximize vehicle utilization and safety.
- Develop/Improve strategies for inventory control, procurement, production planning, and demand forecasting to meet needs efficiently.
- Work with facility personnel to ensure inventory tracking and warehouse utilization is completed in an orderly and timely manner.
- Warehouse oversight, including warehouse supervisors and forklift operators, fostering a safe working environment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure warehouse is kept orderly and the know stock of material is tracked.
- Monitor, validate and track employee records to ensure we are compliant with all associated driving regulations and requirements.
- Remind drivers of needed maintenance and inspections related to vehicle upkeep.
- Provide general administrative support and perform various office tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with transportation planning, demand planning, procurement processes, materials management, and dispatching strategies.
- Demonstrated ability in profit & loss management, budgeting, process improvement initiatives (Lean methodology), and continuous improvement practices.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments including purchasing, production planning, logistics providers, and warehouse staff.
