Lead Critical Infrastructure Projects That Keep Communities Running
Municipal Pipe Tool Company is seeking a Trenchless Construction Project Manager to oversee municipal infrastructure projects across Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota. This position requires 30% travel.
This role is responsible for leading underground infrastructure and trenchless rehabilitation projects from pre-construction planning through final closeout. This role oversees project budgets, schedules, procurement, field operations, subcontractors, and customer relationships while ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract specifications. Working closely with field crews, clients, and internal teams, the Project Manager proactively manages risks, change orders, documentation, and project performance to deliver high quality infrastructure solutions while exemplifying Municipal Pipe Tool's commitment to safety, leadership, and operational excellence.
Municipal Pipe Tool Co. LLC is a sewer maintenance and rehabilitation contractor that has been protecting the environment for more than 60 years. We partner with municipalities and industries across the Midwest to maintain and improve sewer infrastructure through trenchless rehabilitations methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
- Prepare and negotiate pay applications, change orders, and contract modifications while maintaining accurate project cost controls
- Coordinate field operations, subcontractor relationships, and internal crews to meet project specifications and quality standards
- Conduct risk identification and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
- Complete project closeout processes, including lien releases, retainage releases, final billing, and documentation within 60 days of project completion
Requirements
- 3+ years of trenchless rehabilitation, underground infrastructure, or municipal construction experience
- 3+ of construction management experience
- Proficiency with Bid2Win estimating and project management software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience with municipal, water, wastewater, or government-funded construction projects
- Candidates based in Iowa are preferred; North Dakota and South Dakota candidates may be considered
