JESCO Inc. is seeking a BIM Specialist within our Mechanical and Electrical Division. This position will report to the Project Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Creation and development of 3D models of mechanical systems with an emphasis on mechanical piping systems to support construction projects while working closely with Project and Field Management.
- Creation and development of 3D models for fabrication of piping systems and production of fabrication documentation.
- Participation in coordination and clash detection meetings working with other trades, contractors, and design team members.
- Creation of 2D drawings from 3D models, for Shop Drawings, As-Built or Record Drawings, and Contract Documents for Design/Build Construction.
- Investigation and development of methods to use Building Information Modeling tools and software to support design, engineering, and project management tasks.
Software experience needed
- Proficiency with AutoCAD – Superior Skills needed; 7-10 years of experience is required.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit 2018 and newer – Superior Skills needed. A minimum of 5 years of experience required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Fabrication CADMEP – Superior Skills needed. A minimum of 5 years of experience required.
- Proficiency with Navisworks Manage and Solibri Model Checker.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency with Trimble 3D modeling tools and Project Management tools
Advanced Knowledge of
- Mechanical Systems drafting and design - 5+ years’ experience drafting/designing for a mechanical contractor or engineering firm. Experience with a mechanical contractor is preferred.
- Architectural and structural construction documentation.
- Division 22 and 23 submittal review.
Abilities
