Materials Planner

ICR has opportunities available for experienced and motivated Materials Planner.
Position Description:
ICR is a rapidly expanding employee-owned organization dedicated to addressing complex challenges for the US Government. We are seeking a meticulous, motivated, and experienced material planner to ensure seamless manufacturing operations by effectively managing inventory, forecasting material requirements, and collaborating with the ICR procurement team to maintain production schedules. Primary responsibilities include overseeing inventory levels, coordinating and analyzing material flow, generating purchase requisitions, working closely with the manufacturing team, and serving as the liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and the program office.
Requirements:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple manufacturing disciplines.
- Skilled in multitasking and adapting to frequently changing priorities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Experience working in a fast paced, custom electronics manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform material shortage analysis, generate purchase requisitions, and oversee the delivery of essential components to ensure alignment with contractual production schedules. This frequently involves cross-functional communication to proactively resolve issues related to obsolescence and industry-driven changes.
- Maintain consistent communication and interaction with all members of the manufacturing team—including assemblers, technicians, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, inventory control specialists, and shipping/receiving personnel—throughout the build process.
- Collaborate with engineering, program management, and manufacturing to manage ECNs and ensure the most current revisions of BOMs are met in compliance with contractual requirements prior to end item delivery.
- Facilitate routine inventory accuracy assessments and provide support for both internal and external audits.
- Prepare material property reports routinely in accordance with customer needs and specifications.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $150,000
