A respected independent CPA firm in MD is looking to hire a Senior Tax Accountant to support its expanding client portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review business and individual tax returns
- Provide tax planning and advisory support to privately held clients
- Work directly with clients to resolve tax notices and compliance issues
- Assist with quarterly and year-end tax projections
- Review bookkeeping and financial information to ensure accurate tax filings
- Mentor junior accountants and review staff work where appropriate
- Research tax issues and communicate findings clearly to clients and leadership
- Maintain strong client relationships through a high level of personalised service
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred or in progress
- 4+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Experience with S-Corps, partnerships, and individual taxation
- Strong client communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements independently
- Familiarity with UltraTax, Drake, or similar software preferred
Preferred Background
- Experience working within a regional or local CPA firm
- Exposure to real estate and closely held business clients
- Comfortable working directly with business owners

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
