Responsibilities
- Conduct age-appropriate forensic interviews with children who have experienced abuse or neglect, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including child protective services, law enforcement, mental health professionals, and legal entities to coordinate case information.
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of interviews and related case notes while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Assist in crisis intervention efforts by providing emotional support and immediate resources to children and families in distress.
- Participate in ongoing training related to child welfare laws, trauma-informed care, behavioral health strategies, and conflict management techniques.
- Support families through guidance on the interview process and available community resources.
- Follow all protocols related to child safety, legal requirements, and ethical standards during every interaction.
Skills
- Experience working directly with children in sensitive environments such as social work or childcare settings.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention and crisis management to handle emotionally charged situations effectively.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations compassionately.
- Familiarity with behavioral health principles relevant to trauma-informed care for children.

Pay: $21.67 - $24.50 per hour
