Prep Cook – DeWolf Brewing (Victor, NY)
DeWolf Brewing is a brand-new, recently opened 150-seat brewpub in Victor, NY. We’re creating a space where thoughtfully crafted beer, elevated pub fare, and community converge — and we’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Prep Cook to help bring that vision to life.
As a Prep Cook at DeWolf Brewing, you’ll work closely with our Kitchen Manager and back-of-house team to prepare ingredients, maintain prep stations, and help ensure smooth kitchen operations. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow their skills in a professional kitchen.

Pay: From $17.50/hour (based on experience) + tip share
Responsibilities
Prep & Kitchen Support
- Wash, chop, portion, and store ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Prepare sauces, marinades, dressings, and other base items for service
- Keep prep and storage areas clean, organized, and stocked
- Assist cooks during peak service as needed
Food Safety & Quality
- Follow all NYS health code requirements and ServSafe guidelines
- Label, date, and rotate food items to ensure freshness and reduce waste
- Report any product shortages, quality concerns, or safety hazards to the Kitchen Manager
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with kitchen staff to prioritize prep tasks and meet service needs
- Assist in training new prep staff when needed
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude in a high-paced environment
Qualifications
- 1+ year of prep cook or kitchen experience preferred (but will train the right person)
- Solid knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and prep lists accurately
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
- ServSafe certification a plus (can be obtained after hire)
