A leading manufacturer of custom engineered products, serving aircraft manufacturers, airliners, aircraft operators, completion centers and MRO’s worldwide is seeking a Electrical Tech to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary: The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, and testing aircraft electrical systems, wire harnesses, and related components in accordance with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and company quality standards. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a team player who can work independently, act decisively, and demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Build, assemble, and install electrical components, wire harnesses, and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly documentation.
- Operate fixtures, tooling, and equipment necessary to complete electrical installation assignments.
- Properly use calibrated wire crimpers, wire strippers, and other required electrical hand tools.
- Perform continuity checks, inspections, and basic electrical testing to verify quality and functionality.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer requirements.
- Support and practice continual improvement of the Dynamo Aviation Quality Management System (QMS) while adhering to AS9100 procedures.
- Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate work status, production issues, and project updates with supervisors and team members.
- Provide instruction and guidance to other technicians as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through good housekeeping practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace electrical drawings and schematics preferred.
- Experience assembling and installing aircraft wire harnesses is preferred.
- Experience using aerospace electrical hand tools and measuring equipment is preferred.
