Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children during their formative years. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood development and preschool curriculum standards
- Provide attentive care and supervision to toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support children with age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, motor development, and early learning concepts
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, music, and other interactive methods to foster curiosity and learning
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones for ongoing assessment
- Collaborate with team members to manage classroom routines such as mealtime, nap time, diapering, and transitions
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all children
