Shorty's Mexican Roadhouse is a high-energy Tex-Mex casual dining concept with two locations in Southern New Hampshire. We're known for bold flavors, a killer bar program, and a team that takes pride in putting out great food every shift.
The Role
We're looking for experienced line cooks who can hold their station, move with urgency, and deliver consistent, quality food during high-volume service. You'll work in a fast-paced kitchen alongside a team that takes the food seriously and has fun doing it.
Responsibilities
- Execute recipes and plating standards consistently across all menu items
- Maintain station setup, cleanliness, and organization throughout service
- Communicate clearly with expo, front-of-house, and fellow line cooks
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe preferred)
- Assist with prep as needed before and after service
- Adapt to changing ticket flow and volume with a positive attitude
What We're Looking For
- 1–3+ years of line cook experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment
- Team-first mentality — no drama, just hustle
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
