Sous Chef – High Volume Spanish Restaurant

Be part of a NEW RESTAURANT OPENING! Teleferic Barcelona is opening its doors in Westfield UTC soon! We are an authentic Spanish restaurant seeking an experienced, hands-on Sous Chef to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a Sous Chef who enjoys being on the line, leading by example, and training kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Actively work on the line cooking during service as needed
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a high-volume kitchen team
- Train, coach, and mentor cooks and kitchen staff
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Support prep, service, and execution during busy shifts
- Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen
Requirements
- Previous 4 years of experience as a Sous Chef (required)
- Experience in high-volume restaurants or busy kitchens (required)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Passion for training and developing kitchen staff
- Hands-on, operational mindset — comfortable cooking on the line
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
