What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading daily operation of a wastewater treatment plant
- Operating and maintaining equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, filters, aerators, and chlorinators
- Performing sampling and chemical testing to support compliance
- Scheduling work and reviewing completed tasks
- Supervising and training an inmate work crew in a secure setting
- Maintaining logs, records, and inventory
- Supporting safe operations during routine and emergency conditions
What You Need to Qualify
Minimum Experience
- One year of experience operating and maintaining a wastewater treatment plant
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Valid certifications from the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators: Class C or higher and Class E
- Valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
