The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for improving equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness on the glass forming lines, with additional support for utilities equipment, through technical problem-solving, continuous improvement initiatives, and collaboration with internal teams, OEMs, and Stevanato Group headquarters. This role focuses on resolving repetitive equipment issues, developing maintenance standards, and leading Kaizen and reliability projects to enhance performance, safety, and uptime.
Responsibilities:
- Track and manage open maintenance and engineering tickets on the glass forming lines and utilities equipment, ensuring timely resolution and proper escalation when required.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and rebuild of glass forming machinery and utilities equipment (burners, molds, plungers, pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers) alongside technicians; not just from behind a desk.
- Collaborate with OEMs and Stevanato Group headquarters to investigate root causes and implement permanent solutions for recurring equipment issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians, assisting with troubleshooting and complex problem-solving as needed.
- Develop and implement predictive maintenance practices, including condition monitoring and data-driven reliability improvements.
- Roll up sleeves to support preventive maintenance tasks (lubrication, part replacement, calibration, adjustments) directly alongside the maintenance team, not only in an advisory capacity.
Requirements:
- 2 year degree in skilled trade (industrial technology, manufacturing, electrical, etc)
- 8+ years of experience being hands on in maintenance
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Ability to lead improvement projects and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, including collaboration in a global / multicultural environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
