Job Description
As a Cabinetmaker, you will play a key role in assembling and preparing custom cabinetry for installation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cabinet construction, an eye for detail, and a strong understanding of woodworking techniques and materials. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Cornelius, NC. Candidates must have reliable transportation to our shop and a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble custom cabinetry components with precision and efficiency
- Execute exact measurements that meet our uncompromising quality standards
- Adapt skills to meet unique customer requirements for a perfect fit
- Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure each cabinet exceeds expectations
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively
- Assist lead carpenter with onsite installations, as needed
- Perform fitting, trimming, sanding, and hardware installation, as needed
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and craftsmanship
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Collaborate with teammates to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in cabinet assembly or custom woodworking (required)
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and joinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut lists
- Proficient use of woodworking power tools and machinery
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable transportation to our Cornelius, NC shop (required)
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license (required)
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Work Environment
- Shop-based position with moderate to high noise levels depending on production activity
- Standing and manual labor required for extended periods
