Join our vibrant team as a Part-Time Line Cook at The Stavrand Russian River Valley. Our award winning boutique hotel is where culinary excellence meets exceptional hospitality!
This line cook will focus primarily on execution of gourmet breakfast and some dinner prep, working alone or with another cook. The weekly schedule is not fixed, but generally includes Saturday and Sunday morning shifts beginning at 7:30am, plus one or two (three on occasion!) additional weekday morning shifts depending on hotel occupancy.
Within this small team, all cooks and servers assist with dishwashing. A willingness to support each other and work toward a consistent goal of guest satisfaction is essential. The hotel aims to maintain its "Two Key" MICHELIN status that it earned the last two years.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with consistency and attention to detail
- Assist with prep for breakfast and dinner services
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food safe kitchen
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Work with the team to ensure smooth and timely service
- Assist with occasional events or special services as needed
Skills
- Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting (fine dining a plus)
- Previous line cook experience preferred, though exceptions may be made for candidates with related experience, passion, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong knife skills and comfort with basic cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the role, including standing and moving for extended periods, lifting at least 50 lbs, as well as working comfortably around hot surfaces, sharp tools, and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Ability to keep a clean, organized station and manage prep and service simultaneously
- Flexible, positive attitude with a willingness to jump in where needed
- Commitment to inclusivity and respect toward both guests and team members
- English proficiency is required for this position.

Compensation: $22.39/hour
