Machinist – Aviation / Landing Gear MRO
Our client is an FAA-certified repair station specializing in the overhaul and repair of aircraft landing gear components. They are seeking an experienced Machinist to join their Machine Shop team.
The Machinist will be responsible for operating manual and/or CNC machinery to support the repair, overhaul, and manufacturing of aircraft landing gear components in accordance with company procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, and FAA repair station requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
- Machine, repair, and modify aircraft landing gear components according to approved data, drawings, and work instructions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Maintain proper tolerances and surface finishes as required.
- Inspect work throughout the machining process to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Follow work orders, traveler instructions, and internal repair station procedures.
- Properly document work performed and communicate any discrepancies to the supervisor or inspection department.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety rules, quality procedures, and FAA Part 145 repair station requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous machinist experience required, preferably within aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or an FAA repair station environment.
- Experience machining or repairing aircraft landing gear components is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Experience working to close tolerances.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow established procedures.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

- FAA Part 145 repair station machine shop
- Steel-toe boots required

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
