Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and critical care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Medent for documentation, order entry, and medical records management.
- Coordinate patient care plans with multidisciplinary teams involving case management, discharge planning, and outpatient services.
- Provide telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms to extend access to quality care beyond traditional settings.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in advanced practice nursing.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse patient populations including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Medent; experience with medical documentation and coding including CPT, ICD-9/10 is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in areas like acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, trauma response (Level I & II trauma center experience), and emergency medicine.
- Ability to perform complex procedures including sonography, gastroscopy preparation (gastric lavage), and laboratory specimen collection/processing.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and DEA regulations for medication prescribing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments like hospitals or urgent care clinics.

Pay: $111,596.92 - $134,396.30 per year
