This role involves instruction, assessment, special education case management, and curriculum support for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement individualized instruction aligned with IEP goalsProvide special education services and academic supportCreate engaging, project-based learning opportunitiesMonitor student progress and provide quarterly updatesFacilitate classroom instruction and manage student behavior supportsParticipate in IEP meetings and maintain required documentationCollaborate with academic, clinical, and residential teamsSupervise and support teaching assistantsAssist with curriculum development and school programmingMaintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environmentQualificationsRequiredBachelor's DegreeNew Hampshire Special Education Teaching Certification or enrollment in an approved certification programMust be at least 21 years of agePreferredExperience teaching middle school and/or high school studentsExperience working with students who have social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health challengesNH DOE Special Education certificationTwo or more years of teaching experienceMount Prospect Academy can support qualified candidates in obtaining certification through a professional development plan.About Mount Prospect AcademyFounded in 2003, Mount Prospect Academy is a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to helping adolescents achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally.
