POSITION REQUIREMENTS
ERCC is looking for a dependable and motivated Dietary Supervisor / Cook to join our dining services team. About the Role
The Dietary Supervisor / Cook helps oversee daily dining operations while also supporting meal preparation and service. This position includes supervisory responsibilities, along with cook shifts as needed.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, team-oriented, and committed to providing residents with quality meals and excellent service in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, you may:
- Supervise and support dietary team members during daily operations
- Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
- Assist with restaurant-style dining service
- Help ensure meals are served accurately, safely, and on time
- Support special diets and meal modifications
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Communicate professionally with residents, staff, and leadership
- Follow written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures
- Assist with other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of dietary supervisor experience
- Food Handler Certification
- Dependable, professional, and team-focused attitude
Preferred:
- Supervisory experience in food service, healthcare dining, senior living, restaurant, or hospitality settings
- Experience with restaurant-style dining
- Knowledge of special diets
- CDM certification
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a primary shift of 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM. The schedule includes every other weekend, holidays as needed, and occasional additional shifts based on department needs.
