We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist/Assistant to join our dynamic team. Innovative Speech Therapy has primarily home health settings (in a neighborhood near you!), and a beautiful North Scottsdale clinic . You will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services, conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for diverse populations, including children in early intervention programs and adults with speech impairments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor personalized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve articulation, language comprehension, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication skills.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare providers to ensure cohesive care strategies and effective progress tracking.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems accurately to document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Educate patients and their families on speech-language strategies, exercises, and home programs to reinforce therapy goals outside of sessions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for patients with complex needs or disabilities.
- Adapt therapy methods for telehealth delivery when necessary, ensuring seamless virtual sessions that meet clinical standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations in settings such as schools or early intervention programs is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy techniques for individuals with diverse speech and language impairments is essential.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing enhances assessment accuracy and treatment effectiveness.
- Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized tools is required.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities across age groups—including geriatric patients—is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation is necessary for efficient workflow management.
