Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to students in subjects such as mathematics, science, English language arts, and test preparation (e.g., MAP, STAAR), homework and schoolwork for 5th grader.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials that meet diverse learning styles and individual student needs
- Utilize innovative learning technology to enhance instruction and engagement during online sessions
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure continuous improvement
- Prefer teacher or tutor background.
- Support students with special education needs by implementing appropriate instructional methods and accommodations
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to coordinate support strategies and track academic growth
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in math, science, English language arts, or test prep settings
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms used for online instruction
- Excellent communication skills to connect with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to adapt instructional approaches based on individual learning styles and needs
- Experience working with children or young learners in classroom or tutoring environments
- Demonstrated organizational skills for managing lesson plans and tracking student progress
- Background in early childhood education or special education is a plus
- Passion for education, patience, and enthusiasm for helping students succeed
