Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in preschool children
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment that encourages curiosity and independence
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized learning plans for children requiring special education or early intervention support
- Maintain accurate documentation of children’s progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s development, milestones, and any concerns
- Oversee classroom management duties such as organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and curriculum development
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods if applicable
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields preferred; relevant coursework in childhood development or special education is advantageous
