Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/ Light Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This vital role combines cleaning expertise with light maintenance duties to ensure our facilities remain pristine, safe, and welcoming. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential, commercial, or industrial spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment, including vacuums, floor buffers, and custodial tools.
- Handle janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Conduct light maintenance activities including minor repairs, painting, and touch-ups to maintain facility appearance and functionality.
- Safely operate equipment such as floor buffers and industrial cleaning machines while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling procedures.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving furniture, supplies, or equipment to ensure efficient workspace organization.
- Maintain safety protocols when handling chemical agents for cleaning or maintenance purposes.
- Support general facilities maintenance by inspecting premises regularly, reporting issues promptly, and performing routine upkeep tasks.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and maintenance tools are stored properly and used in accordance with safety guidelines.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments with custodial expertise.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling with an emphasis on safety procedures.
- Skilled in using floor care equipment such as buffers for polishing and buffing floors to a high shine.
- Experience in janitorial services, industrial cleaning, or porter roles with a focus on heavy lifting and manual handling techniques.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, minor repairs, and troubleshooting facility issues.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices to prevent injury during heavy lifting activities.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures to support ongoing building operations effectively.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
