POSITION SUMMARY
The Host is the first point of contact for our guests and sets the tone for the dining experience. This role requires a polished, gracious, and professional presence to welcome guests, manage reservations, and oversee the seamless flow of the dining room while ensuring an exceptional experience from arrival to departure.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a warm, professional, and refined greeting to all guests upon arrival.
Manage reservations and walk-ins with efficiency and accuracy using reservation platforms.
Escort guests to their tables while communicating special requests or needs to the service team.
Monitor guest flow and table rotation to balance guest satisfaction with restaurant efficiency.
Clearly communicate accurate wait times and updates to guests.
Answer phone calls, assist with reservations, and provide information about the restaurant.
Anticipate guest needs and address requests promptly with poise and professionalism.
Support the management team with guest relations, VIP requests, and special occasions.
Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum of one (1) year of host or guest relations experience; fine dining and high-volume experience strongly preferred.
A true passion for hospitality and the guest experience.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Familiarity with reservation systems (SevenRooms, OpenTable, or similar) is a plus.
Ability to manage guest interactions with grace, even under pressure.
Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Professional, refined appearance and demeanor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
Ability to maneuver through a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; bend, lift, and reach as needed.
COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
