Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment. Your role will be essential in creating memorable experiences for our customers while ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met. This job is commission based.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently to process orders and manage transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling practices at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating POS systems, preferably Square POS or similar platforms.
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
