Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a pristine, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the overall upkeep and maintenance of our premises, supporting a healthy and productive workspace.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility.
- Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities related to facilities maintenance, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Support with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep as needed.
- Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies used, and maintenance activities for accountability and inventory management.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing.
- Experience with industrial cleaning methods and equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and light painting work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining a safe environment.
