Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Print Shop Manager to lead our printing operations with energy and precision. In this role, you will oversee the entire print production process, ensuring high-quality output, efficient workflow, and adherence to deadlines. Your expertise in various printing techniques, color management, and graphic design will drive the success of our print projects. Responsibilities
- Manage daily print shop operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to maximize productivity.
- Oversee the setup and operation of diverse printing equipment such as flexo presses, CNC machines, and screen printing stations.
- Ensure high standards of quality control by inspecting finished products for accuracy, color consistency, and overall craftsmanship.
- Lead prepress processes including layout design, typography, color management, and file preparation using Adobe Creative Suite tools.
- Maintain and troubleshoot printing machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards across all print activities.
- Collaborate with clients or internal teams to interpret project specifications and deliver tailored print advertising solutions that meet expectations.
Experience
- Proven experience managing a busy print shop or manufacturing environment with a focus on digital or traditional printing techniques.
- Strong knowledge of screen printing, flexo press operations, CNC machining, and other manufacturing processes relevant to commercial printing.
- Skilled in prepress workflows, color management systems, typography, layout design, and Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures to ensure consistent output across various print media.
- Ability to operate or supervise the use of forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Experience in graphic design or print advertising projects is highly desirable.
