Qualificatins:
Minimum bachelr's degree in special educatin

Experience wrking with students with Autism Spectrum Dis- rder preferred.
Knwledge f applied behavir analysis (ABA), functinal cmmunicatin, structured teaching, and data-based instructi- nal practices preferred.
Experience with, r willingness t be trained in, evidence-based autism instructinal practices, including the STAR Prgram, discrete trial training (DTT), natural envirnment teaching (NET), pivtal respnse training (PRT), functinal rutines, functinal cmmunicatin training (FCT), and the use f visual supp- rts.
Knwledge f augmentative and alternative cmmunicati- n (AAC) systems preferred.
Clear criminal hist- ry and child abuse clearances required (Acts 34, 151, and FBI).
Ability t perfrm essential jb duties satisfactrily, with r withut reasnable accmmdati- ns.
Ability t perfrm additinal duties r meet alternative qualificatins as determined apprpriate by the Bard - r Superintendent.
Perfrmance Respnsibilities:
Thrugh knwledge f special educatin, autism-specific instructinal practices, and student-centered planning, the Special Educatin Autistic Supprt Teacher develps instructinal plans designed t meet individualized student needs and prmte measurable grwth.
Demnstrates in-depth knwledge f state standards, specially designed instructin, early childhd develpment, special educatin regulatins, autism supprt, and evidence-based instructi- nal practices.
Reviews student recrds, evaluatin reprts, IEPs, behavir plans, cmmunicatin needs, related service recmmendatins, and baseline data t guide instructin and supp- rts.
Develps individualized instructinal plans aligned t IEP gals, cmmunicatin needs, behaviral needs, and adaptive functi- ning.
Prepares structured lessns and instructinal rtatins using ABA-based practices, including DTT, NET, PRT, FCT, and functinal r- utines.
Designs and implements assessments and data systems aligned t student learning, IEP gals, cmmunicatin grwth, behaviral supprts, and adaptive skill devel- pment.
Prepares instructinal activities using evidence-based methds such as STAR Prgram lessns, DTT, NET, PRT, functinal rutines, task analysis, and systematic pr- mpting and fading.
Cllabrates with clleagues, families, students, related service prviders, paraprfessinals, behavir supprt persnnel, and schl cmmunity members t design effective instructin and supp- rts.
